How do I send my staff onshore for training/business trip?
As part of employee development, some clients opt to send their staff to their head office for training, immersion, visit, or other similar purposes. In such cases, please coordinate with your POC regarding:
- Duration of the stay
- Visa requirements
- Allowance of the staff – either per diem or if will be given once the staff is on site
- Accommodation for the staff – this is normally arranged by the client
- Transportation expenses – to and from the airport, also normally arranged by the client
- Travel tax – can be part of the allowance given to the employee
- Travel insurance – this is required to ensure that the employees are covered in case something happens to them while they are onshore
- Clothing allowance – for staff travelling during winter
